Breed Specific Legislation Bookings
In order to use the Paddocks with a breed registered under Breed Specific Legislation you must comply with the following;
-
Your dog must be legally exempt and have valid public liability insurance. You must be able to provide certification of this when requested upon booking. To allow your dog into the paddock, we need to provide our ensurers with your proof of exemption. If you have any questions please call us on 07793032060.
-
Your dog must be neutered/spayed and have an up to date microchip.
-
Your dog is kept on a lead and muzzled until the gate is shut and secure when entering the paddock. These can then be removed once inside the paddock.
-
The dog is put back on a lead and muzzled before opening the gate to leave the paddock.
-
If you have more than one exempt breed from the same household, you must have one handler per dog. Meaning if you bring two exempt dogs, you need two handlers.
-
Unfortunately we are unable to allow exempt breeds to mix with other dogs from outside of their household.
In the UK, it is illegal to own, sell, abandon, or breed certain types of dogs under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991. Most recently, the XL Bully was added to the list.
The list of banned dogs includes:

-

-
Certificate of Exemption: In England, Wales, and Scotland, owners of XL Bullies who possessed their dog before the ban could apply for a Certificate of Exemption to legally keep their pet.
-
Rules for exempted dogs: To keep an exempted dog, owners must comply with strict rules for the remainder of the dog's life, including:
-
Keeping the dog muzzled and on a lead in public.
-
Having the dog microchipped.
-
Having third-party public liability insurance.
-
Keeping the dog securely contained to prevent escape.
