CCTV in Operation

 

For the safety and security of our customers, dogs, staff and property, CCTV is in operation throughout Ruff & Woof at The Paddocks.

 

By entering the site, you acknowledge that CCTV recording is in use.

 

Why we use CCTV:

 

We use CCTV for the following legitimate purposes:

* Protecting the safety and welfare of dogs and visitors.

* Monitoring compliance with our park rules and booking terms.

* Preventing crime, anti-social behaviour and damage to property.

* Assisting with the investigation of incidents, complaints or accidents.

* Protecting our staff, customers and business from fraudulent or false claims.

 

Our lawful basis for processing CCTV footage is Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR – Legitimate Interests.

 

What we record:

 

Our CCTV system records video images of people, vehicles and dogs within the park.

Audio is not routinely recorded.

Access is restricted to authorised personnel only.

 

Footage may be shared where necessary with:

 

* Police or other law enforcement agencies.

* Insurers.

* Solicitors.

* Regulatory bodies.

* Other organisations where we are legally required to do so.

 

How long footage is kept:

 

Routine CCTV footage is normally retained for up to 30 days, after which it is automatically overwritten.

 

Where footage is required for the investigation of an incident, breach of our terms and conditions, insurance claim, legal proceedings or another legitimate business purpose, it may be retained for longer until the matter has been concluded.

 

Your rights:

 

You have rights under the UK GDPR, including the right to request access to personal data we hold about you.

 

Requests relating to CCTV footage should be made in writing.

 

Please note that these rights are not absolute. We may refuse or limit requests where exemptions apply, including where footage contains images of other individuals or where retention is necessary for legal claims or regulatory purposes.
